These last few years of meet-ups, parties, and adventures have been amazing and I’m so fortunate to have shared them with you. They’re a compilation of messages due to the closure, both from the last few days and from when it was first announced. I wanted to share them with you, in case you missed them. Since then, effort has been invested into cruelly wiping every trace of its legacy online, from the YouTube channel being deleted to social media accounts disappearing.ĭespite this, the people who actually made Club Penguin the magical island it was have all shared some inspiring messages of all the things which both the community and Club Penguin have achieved. On December 20th, Club Penguin Island sadly closed, marking an end to the official franchise. As such, please don’t think the official Club Penguin brand is returning since the evidence is virtually non-existent, even though I’ve seen many people assume this when it’s almost certainly not true.

It is possible that this was just a coincidence that the change occurred at the same time as the takedown requests were filed. The site doesn’t have anything installed, there are no job advertisements, and no trace of the game’s return online. Secondly, there is no solid evidence that Club Penguin Island is returning. I understand why some may assume that this denotes the name of the site in reality, it doesn’t. Without getting too technical, the main “evidence” appears to be from the website’s markup of a meta tag that says “revised”. Unfortunately, I wanted to make this post to prevent such optimism spreading without a solid basis. This seems minor, but I’ve seen many people drawing conclusions about Club Penguin Island returning, and these rumours have spread rapidly.
